Bilge pump spares

Paul Dowd and Sharon Brown

Hi all,

Would anyone know where I can get a new bilge pump “plate” which is cracked (see picture below)? I know Amel provide a service kit but this does not include this part.

Cheers,

Paul

I believe the only place you will get that part is right here in this group. Many owners have replaced this pump and may still have the old one. Hopefully, you will get a response from one of them.

At last count, this pump was made by 4 manufacturers in a series that coincided with the prior manufacturer going out of business. The pump was great and had nothing to do with all of the business failures. The last one to make this pump was TF Pumps in Italy. When Gianneschi Pumps bout TF, they decided to discontinue this pump.

This is the pump I recommend for a replacement. If you buy it from Amel, you will get 1 or 2 special parts that will make installation easier. But you can also find this Plastimo Pump in many places.

Hi Bill,

Thanks, I’ll wait to see if anyone comes up with something. It does not seem to be causing any problem right now, but it may fail at some point. I guess I could get a stainless one made for a few $!

Cheers,

Paul
