Managed to drop out the BT box, after a couple of hours. It is very heavy, seams to have liquid in it. Looks like there is a drain hole that I poked out. Nothing drained out. Is this normal? Nick Ashore Leros Amelia AML54-019 |

I remember it being heavier than I expected, but I didn't record the weight. Nick, I don’t think that’s normal. No liquid in it except for the gear oil. Suspect that drain hole still has a plugged outlet.

There are some nylon little pads that are screwed to the box near the top as bearing surfaces. Water has leaked in, via the screw holes, one would assume it would just drain out the bottom drain hole but it seams that the box has two compartments. The lower half empties out of the drain hole. The top compartment is sealed. I have unscrewed the little nylon wear plates and am draining the water out with it on its side. Will screw them on with silicon. Photos tomorrow as it is dark now. New lip seal and neoprenes installed plus new coupling, the old looked good but close inspection revealed it to be on its last legs. Tomorrow will put it all back…. It has been a hard day on the hard…. Nick Amelia Aml54-019 Leros On 5 Nov 2022, at 2:35 pm, Doug Smith via groups.io <dugsmith98@...> wrote: |
