Morning,

Last week we started passage from QLD AUSTRALIA to BAY of ISLANDS NEW ZEALAND.

About 2 hrs out of the SeaWay I got several times a “rudder response failure” alarm on my AutoPilot #1.

Long story short – I discovered a pool of hydraulic fluid under my bed – after return to my berth in HOPE ISLAND determined that one of the 3 hoses for this AutoPilot was damaged. The chafing was exactly @ the point where the hose enters the glass fiber conduit.
