Good Bye

Willem Kroes

Hi all Amelians,

After almost 15 years enjoyment of two great models of Amel sailboats (a Santorin # 69 and a Super Maramu 2000 # 351) I decided to end my boat ownership. So, I sold Kavanga to a new owner, who is an Italian citizen. I am sure he will present himself to the community.

I found during all these years that the owners group represents great value, not only fot the owners themselves, but also making an important contribution to the brand of Amel itself. The quality of the Amel boats forms of course the basis, but also the community of the Amel boat owners contributes to the special niche in the market not only for used Amels but also for the new built boats. So, I am convinced that also the Amel boatyard benefits from the active Amel-owners community.

All the credits of course for Bill Rouse and others to set up this excellent website providing the opportunity to assist owners during so many years.

I am grateful to everybody responding to my questions during the last 5 years.

Fair winds to you all and goodbye!

Good luck Willem, it was nice to
meet you briefly in Licata earlier this year. I hope you enjoy your new after-boating interests.
Best regards,
Dean

I want to thank Willem, Bill and all the members of this fantastic community because thanks to you I became the owner of the SM Kavanga with which I made my first 800-mile trip in total relax and safety, even in heavy seas and winds over 35 knots
Fair winds to all
