Invitation to AMELIANS - Gathering at Whangarei Marina, NZ on Wed 29.3.23 at 5:30pm

Hi All, Dean & Jan Gillies from A54 STELLA will be in Whangarei on Wednesday 29 March. Dean suggested a catch up. Given that there are many other Amels nearby we decided to turn it into a general Amel gathering. The boats I can think of here in NZ are: Glazig, Yin Yang, Mothership Adrift, Vista, Tengah, Perigee, Ocean Perl, Seabean, Mari??, ..maybe more. Sorry if I missed someone but of course all Amelians welcome. , So this is a general invitation. Hope 5:30pm is a suitable starting time. Location - on the pontoon directly outside the Town Basin Marina - 37 Quayside, Whangarei (see photo). My wife Biru is happy to make main course (Mexican Chicken with lime). Hopefully, everyone can bring something - drinks, salad, biscuits & cheese, whatever. Please reply by email or SMS (NZ 0220482248) if you intend coming so we know the numbers. Great idea Chris,
the last gathering like that which I was at was on Ocean Pearl in Noumea. Unfortunately I am 160km North of Whangarei so it is a long way to do a two way drive. Will see how it works out.

It's all go for this evening. Biru (AKA Captain Cook!) is preparing Mexican lime chicken, Mexican rice, corn chips, Mexican salad, Yoghurt, shreded cheese & Tortillas. Here is my list of boats & people indicating they will attend (17 people so far). Of course, any extras are most welcome.
