Greetings- anyone with a super maramu doing a bottom job/ c-drive seal change/ bow thruster service in the near to mid term? I would love to help someone/watch who has done these before to make mine go more smoothly when we haul for a bottom job in the next 9 months or so.....
We have Bill's book and the forum which are awesome, but nothing replaces hands on.
Able to travel as far north as Santa Barbara.
Thanks in advance.

I just completed all of that in Fort Lauderdale two weeks ago using contractors for the work. 😊  It took two weeks up on the hard for them to complete it.  If you’re tackling all of that on your own my guess is that you have a month of hard work ahead of you!  Best of luck to you.

If your boat has been maintained regularly, the C drive oil, bearings and seals, and the Bow thruster removal and oil change can easily be done in a day. If the bow thruster needs any more attention then it may take longer, but it can be taken off site to work on at leisure. It may seem daunting to attempt it ‘blind’, but the instructions and photos are so good it is a satisfyingly straight forward job.
Seeng it first would be good, but don’t be afraid to go for it!
Have fun!
