Spur cutter
Hi All,
Is there a preferred orientation to the rope cutter when reinstalling or one way only. I know the anode goes into the notch but then you have another free floating piece that can be fastend down in any direction. See pic. Chuck Joy sm2k 388 |

Hi Chuck, It looks like your line cutter should be sharpened. If you are in the USA send it to Spurs to have it sharpened. Fair Winds Eric Kimberlite Amel Super Maramu #376

Hi All, |

It is worth considering having a second Spurs cutter, so you can rotate them around every haulout, whilst one is being sharpened and having a new anode fitted. Something to consider.

Thanks All for the replies. I have read the spurs cutter manual and now know more about it than I ever wanted to but very helpful. $125 for diamond blasting, sharpen, anode and general refurbishment out of Florida. I would have done that if I hadn't already spent most of the day picking dried barneys off and descaling it. That would have been money well spent.
