I think it is important to note that this SL service is for land based entities. It also stipulates a limit of 90 days (?) in a country other than the home base before requiring a residential address in the new country. This is going down the same path as Google Fi's international data service. I think they might be running into international trade and licensing agreement issues since they transmit over a country's owned airspace.

The global marine service has been up and running for a while and the price was recently reduced to US$1,000 per month. SL talks about geo-fencing in the near future, thus becoming aware of any users violating the terms and conditions of their package.
