With a heavy heart, I am selling my 1984 45' Amel Maramu. I am also attaching all the photos that I currently have of "Kailani", more to come in 3 weeks when I am back on my boat. Reason for selling: I am moving back to California to be closer to my daughter.
I have been cruising and living on her for the past five years along the coast of Central America. Currently located on the Caribbean side of Panama. I am very meticulous and always kept her clean, well maintained and in perfect shape.
Last complete refit in 2016. Ready to cruise the world.
Last year I added a MarineKinetix MK4+ wind generator. Amongst the many upgrades I added during my time on her. , A few highlights below:
- Spectra Ventura Watermaker (with many spare filters)
- Brand new Genaker (only used once)
- Recently painted bottom and topsides and deck.
- new Gel batteries (two 8D, one Bosch Group 31), one older 4D battery for windlass
- Kyocera solar panels (two 120 Watt, one 100 Watt)
- Extensive Spare parts. I have literally spares for almost everything.
- Huge selection of tools, both power and manual
- 9 ft AB aluminum dinghy with 15hp Yamaha outboard (2018), well cared for and maintained. I haul out my dinghy every evening alongside the boat.
- 12V fridge/freezer (in use), 110V freezer and fridge (haven't been used in 4 years and most likely need maintenance.
- many gadgets, like Garmin/Delorme phone, EPIRB, portable radio, binoculars, pretty much anything one would need for safe offshore cruising.
Overall she is in great condition.
Engine Hours: 3,342 (Perkins 4.236) also well maintained with regular filter changes, injectors have been replaced a year ago, heat exchanger has been cleaned annually etc...
Hood mainsail sail is in ok shape. Hood genoa is in ok shape, Hood Solent sail is in ok shape. I have three new sails including a trysail and stay sail.

The boat is currently located in a marina on the Caribbean side of Panama. I will personally be on the boat starting Jan 10 until around the end of Feb.
